VIPMOAA HOME PAGE
The Virginia Peninsula chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (VIPMOAA) is a 5-star chapter encompassing Forts Eustis and Monroe, Langley Air Force Base, Naval Weapons Station Yorktown, Yorktown Coast Guard Station and surrounding towns and counties.   Most members live in Williamsburg, Yorktown, Newport News and Hampton.  Jamestown Fort is located in VIPMOAA's area.

VIPMOAA has about 400 member/families who enjoy a variety of gatherings and events.
 

VIPMOAA is a private, non profit, 501(c) (19) organization.  All board members are un-paid volunteers.

VIPMOAA is an active member of the Virginia Council of Chapters (VCOC) MOAA.

VIPMOAA was first chartered by MOAA in 1970 (after beginning at Fort Eustis in 1968).

Purposes of VIPMOAA:
  • Uphold the Constitution of the United States.
  • Support a sufficient military force for the nation.
  • Inform chapter members and family about military matters.
  • Promote a spirit of comradery among members.
  • Serve as regional point of contact.
  • Reinforce locally the legislative goals and objectives of MOAA and the VCOC.
  • Provide factual personal affairs & survivor assistance to members and family.

VIPMOAA's current website was developed in March 2009, using Network Solutions hosting package, with volunteer labor by Maj Melva Mallison, USAF, Ret.  The same domain name is used:  VIPMOAA.org.  You may contact web master at melvamaj@cox.net 

VIPMOAA's first website was developed by LTC James (Jim) Eagle, USAF, Ret, in 2002, and maintained on his personal cox account for 7 years.  Jim's website earned MOAA communications awards for our local chapter of MOAA.
