Historical Interpreter/ Reenactor at Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation

Mr. Russell Reed is an experimental archaeologist and past supervisor of American Indian field programs at the Jamestown-Yorktown and Colonial Williamsburg museums.  He is very knowledgeable on the native and early history of Tidewater Virginia as well as the Native American life in general.  Mr. Reed is well-known in the speaking arena having  appeared in a PBS documentary on native traditions, a speaker at Oshers Life Long Learning at William and Mary, as well as other engagements across America.  He is a descendant of the Louisiana-based Atkapa tribe and builds dugout canoes for the state parks (I witnessed first hand at a demonstration at Fort Monroe).  He is a veteran, having served in the Army National Guard.  Please attend his amazing talk  where he will share how the natural resources available to Native Americans were used in warfare and hunting, to accomplish the mission.  Artifacts will be on hand as part of his program.
