INVOLVED IN STATE LEGISLATION
Virginia state (commonwealth) legislative issues are worked through the Joint Leadership Council (JLC) of Veterans Service Organizations (VSOs).  MOAA is one of the larger VSOs, and through the Virginia Council of Chapters takes a leadership role in establishing priorities.    Priorities are established so that the VSOs are speaking with one voice on state legislative issues.
State legislative priorities can be found on the VCOC MOAA website, state legislative section. http://virginiamoaa.com/statelegislative/prioritiesstatelegis.html

VIPMOAA "storms Richmond" each year, along with the Virginia Council of Chapters (VCOC).  2009 was the 12th annual VCOC MOAA day at the General Assembly.  The storming follows-up on issues we work with our legislators on all year long.
