Virginia Council of Chapters (VCOC) held their biennial meetings (day and dinner) Oct 13th at Patriots Colony, Williamsburg. Our Vice President hosted a spouse's outing. See VCOC website VirginiaMOAA.com meetings section for more photos and info.

MINUTEMAN AWARD PRESENTED TO VIPMOAA WOMAN Our own past president, Melva Mallison, was the first woman to receive the VCOC Minuteman award for "Outstanding Service" Photo at left shows the award presented to Mallison, who served as VCOC 2nd Vice President in 2010-2011, by VCOC president COL Sam Wilder, USA, Ret, the previous recipient. Mallison was also recognized for her six years service as VCOC Public Affairs Officer, chair of VCOC Public Affairs Committee, web manager and five years as VCOC newsletter editor of The Council Crier.
