MOAA SCHOLARSHIPS - including 3 for Virginia.
MOAA's scholarships include three designated for Virginia. VIPMOAA helped raise funds for the Virginia Scholarships, along with the Virginia Council of Chapters of MOAA. MOAA always accepts donations to scholarships, from chapters or individuals. All of the donation goes to the scholarship fund and are tax deductible for these national MOAA scholarships. Recipients are not limited to ROTC or JROTC students.
In School-year 2011-2012, VIPMOAA began issuing $500 "scholarships" to senior students at some Junior ROTC units on the peninsula. It is hoped that in future years, member donations will enable the chapter to issue scholarships to each of the 11 area high schools. These scholarships are part of the VIPMOAA chapter's "Military community Service/Scholarship Fund". See fund info in Home section of this website.
